Guy is an employment lawyer with a background of advising private and public sector clients, including food, chemicals, biotechnology and pharmaceutical manufacturers, national public sector agencies, special health authorities and the police. He now works principally for NHS clients, advising on matters such as service reconfiguration, board level restructuring and executive terminations, high-value discrimination and whistleblowing claims and doctors’ disciplinary/capability issues. He regularly lectures and trains on employment law and practice. He is a recognised expert on equal pay and has been at the forefront of the defence of the mass equal pay claims facing the NHS. He advises on one of the largest multiple claims in the country and acted for the lead respondent in the national challenge to Agenda for Change in the Hartley case. Guy is also experienced in advising employers on industrial disputes and he leads the firm’s employee relations unit.
