DAC Beachcroft LLP‘s London employment group has enjoyed consistent growth in recent years, on the back of high-profile work for a client roster comprising international banks, major insurers and bluechip healthcare organisations. The team has recently been handling an increasing amount of work related to the Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMCR), while it also has a growing High Court practice, with contentious matters making up approximately 60% of the team’s work. The practice is led by ‘star individual’ Khurram Shamsee, who is also on the firm’s group board, alongside health and social care practice head Udara Ranasinghe. Other key team members include employee relations unit head Nick Chronias, David Sims, who leads the firm’s cross-practice SMCR team, the ‘excellent’ Georgina Rowley and ‘unflappable’ contentious specialist Richard Loxley.
