Career
Jonathan specialises in issues relating to or arising from the construction, engineering and infrastructure industries and has significant expertise in multi-party litigation. His experience also covers arbitration, adjudication and mediation. Jonathan is qualified as a solicitor-advocate.
Jonathan’s reported cases include the series of judgments in Midland Expressway Ltd -v- Carillion Construction Ltd & Others, which related to the construction of the M6 toll road, KNN Coborn LLP-v-GD City Holdings Ltd (2013) and Manor Asset Limited-v-Demolition Services Ltd (2016). Jonathan is currently the Partner supervising overall conduct and strategy for a defendant in a multi-party complex dispute being heard in the TCC.
Jonathan also deals with non-contentious aspects of construction law including drafting and amending construction contracts, deeds of professional appointments, collateral warranties, third party rights agreements, parent company guarantees, terms and conditions of business, bonds and escrow agreements.
