Andrew has specialised in defending professional indemnity claims since 1990. Over the last 28 years, Andrew has acted for most types of professional, with an emphasis on claims against solicitors, insurance brokers and surveyors. The majority of Andrew's work is dealing with claims, but he also advises on policy coverage issues.

Although Andrew seeks to resolve most claims through discussion and negotiation, he is prepared to take cases to trial if a negotiated settlement cannot be achieved. Andrew's two most recent trials involved successfully defending a firm of solicitors in relation to a claim brought by Rentokil, and the placing brokers in a claim brought by Involnert Management Inc.

Andrew is also the Managing Partner of the Professional & Financial Disputes team at Clyde & Co, which is now located over six offices in the UK and comprises over 29 partners and 89 associates.
