Kevin IngramClifford Chance LLP

They are thought leaders delivering exceptional client service and market coverage‘, say clients of the securitisation practice at Clifford Chance LLP, praising the firm’s ‘sheer capacity, the delivery and the ability to solve problems and get transactions over the line‘. It has one of the largest structured finance, securitisation and derivatives practices of any global law firm and its work spans the entire spectrum of asset classes. Alongside traditional asset classes, the practice structures and executes a growing number of transactions involving the fintech market including the first European securitisation by Funding Circle and its first public securitisation in the UK. It has a team that is recognised for its expertise in innovative securitisation techniques, European portfolio disposal work including NPLs, and a range of asset-backed financing, multi-jurisdictional receivables financing, loan on loan deals, CMBS and repacks of commercial real estate assets. Its client base is equally diverse, covering sponsors, issuers and originators, arrangers and dealers, trustees, swap providers, servicers, governments, regulators and rating agencies. Kevin Ingram, who is on the Executive Committee of the Securitisation Division of AFME, leads the practice. Among the other key partners are Christopher Walsh, real estate finance partner Emma Matebalavu, structured debt partner Maggie Zhao, developing markets specialist Simeon Radcliff and Andrew Forryan who handles whole business, mortgage and real estate securitisations. Stephen Curtis moved to Latham & Watkins.
