Mario has advised international banks, multilateral financing organizations and public and private financial entities in financing projects in Ecuador. He has been the lawyer and consultant for several electrical and telecommunication companies in Ecuador, as well as consultant for several oil and mining companies that carry out prospecting, exploration and exploitation activities in Ecuador.

Mario led the team that provided legal advice to the Lenders (a group of several international banks) in the project financing for the construction of the new airport in Quito, in the largest mining project in Ecuador (Fruta del Norte) and in the deep water port of Posorja. He has also represented lenders in hydroelectric and photovoltaic projects in Ecuador and has represented multinationals in acquisitions of companies in Ecuador (BellSouth, in the acquisition of OTECEL S.A., General Motors Corporation, in the acquisition of OBB Transportes S.A., Duke Energy, in the acquisition of Electroquil S.A., Fonterra Group, in the acquisition of a stake in NESTLE’s dairy business in Ecuador, General Motors Corporation in the acquisition of assets in Ecuador from DAEWOO MOTORS, Lafarge in the acquisition of Cementos Selva Alegre and its subsequent divestiture, among others).
