With offices in Quito – Ecuador, Flor & Hurtado (“F&H”) has come to the Ecuadorean legal market as a law firm formed by very well-reputed professionals with vast experience in local and cross-border transactions, who follow international standards as the main rule of practice. The firm is formed by ten lawyers – five partners and five associates- all with vast experience in their professional fields, it also has a financial advisor for tax planning and tax litigation. Many of F&H’s lawyers have international degrees.

The firm maintains a system of cooperation with other law firms throughout the region and in the US and Europe, which is particularly important for handling cross-border transactions.

F&H’s main practice areas include project finance and corporate and M&A, headed by Mario Flor, an experienced attorney who has provided assistance in some of the largest finance operations in the country. The team led by Mario participated in the financing of the new airport at Quito, the second tranche for the construction of the largest gold project in the region, the financing for the construction of the new Posorja port and the financing of Corporacion Favorita in the expansion of its activities in the region.
