He was a career magistrate at the TJSP from January 1981 until his retirement in September 2019. During his tenure he was President of the Private Law Section in 2010/2011 and a member of the Superior Council of Magistrates, when he proposed creation of the Reserved Chamber of Business Law (Res. 538/2011). He was also a member of the 1st Chamber of Business Law from 2012 to 2016 and the 4th Chamber of Private Law from 2005 to 2019.

 

 

In the academic arena, Fernando was Director of the São Paulo Magistrates School from 2014 to 2016, and a member of the Superior Board at ENFAM – the National School for Magistrate Training and Improvement.

Master’s degree in Commercial Law from Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo PUC/SP.
