Position
Charlotte is a specialist regulatory lawyer representing regulated professional clients, acting for doctors, dentists, other healthcare professionals and other regulated professionals such as accountants, teachers and architects. She has extensive expertise in acting for professionals in relation to regulatory fitness to practise matters, internal disciplinary investigations and hearings, NHS England investigations, inquests, regulatory registration cases and criminal proceedings. She is also an accredited police station representative.
Career
Charlotte trainined at Mace & Jones, qualifying as a solcitors in 2004. She then went on to work as a GMC prosecution lawyer at Field Fisher Waterhouse from 2004 until 2008 before moving to Nabarro in Sheffield to work as a Senior Associate defending doctors on behalf of the Medical Defence Union. Charlotte then moved back to Manchester, working for Richard Nelson LLP, Shoosmiths and then Berrymans Lace Mawer where she represented doctors on behalf of the Medical Protection Society before settling at Burton Copeland LLP where she has worked defending all regulated professionals since 2014.

Education
Charlotte grew up in various countries overseas, completing her A-Levels in Dubai before obtaining her BSc(Hons) degree in Business Studies with Law at Salford University in 2000. She then completed the PGDL (CPE) at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2001, after which she completed the LPC at the College of Law in Chester in 2002 before beginning her training contract with Mace & Jones in the same year.
