Career

With more than 30 years of experience and multidisciplinary knowledge acquired by living in various corporate environments, Toledo acts in the supervision and conduct of legal and administrative proceedings in the tax area, representing large national and foreign clients from different areas, such as infrastructure, oil and gas, agribusiness, petrochemicals, industry, retail, and service provision. He has a strong presence in the advisory area of indirect taxes, foreign trade, customs taxation, and arbitration. He is the coordinator of the course on “Arbitration – Theory and Practice” promoted by Instituto Brasileiro de Estudos Tributários (IBET) and member of the working group of the Legislative Mato Grosso State Legislative Assembly, regarding the implementation of tax arbitration in that location. In the academic area, he is a professor in the specialization and extension courses in Tax Law, Foreign Trade, Arbitration and Digital Economy at several educational institutions, such as: IBET, APET, FBT and CERS. He is a former Professor of Insper (LLm in Tax Law – ICMS, IPI and ISS subjects; Customs Taxation and Foreign Trade) and of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (GVlaw – in the subjects “Mergers, Acquisitions, Corporate Reorganizations and Due Diligence” and “Industry Taxation”). He also acted as judge at the Tax Court of São Paulo State Secretariat of Finance and attended several courses and seminars on Tax Law and Arbitration as a speaker. He is also the author and co-author of several books and articles on Tax Law and Arbitration.
