Position
Recognised as a leading individual in criminal litigation and has successfully defended many high profile individuals. Her practice includes representation during the investigation stage, through Magistrates and Crown Courts trials and advising in relation to appeals against conviction and sentence. Rachel is an expert in both general and business crime. She advises those under investigation for the whole range of criminal offences which particularly includes sexual offences, domestic violence and controlling behavior, harassment, public order offences, the varying degrees of assault and murder and manslaughter. She also advises individuals and companies in relation to money laundering concerns, investigations into tax schemes, conspiracy to defraud and health and safety investigations. Her clients are mainly professionals, such as leading consultants and doctors in the medical field, partners and lawyers in all specialisations, accountants, successful sports-persons and high-achievers in the performing arts, to whom a minor or serious criminal investigation, charge or conviction may have immediate regulatory consequences on their career and potential travel visa implications. Also regularly acts for young people, often educated at leading public schools, who are being investigated for sexual or other criminal offences that have the potential to detrimentally affect their education and career prospects. Has extensive knowledge of medical/forensic issues and in particular has expertise in defending cases where autism and/or asperger syndrome may be of relevance. She exercises skill, humanity and judgment in tenaciously and robustly fighting for her clients’ best interests. Expertise in conducting investigations.
