Career

Co-head of the Tax Practice. His expertise focuses in tax litigation and tax audits by the authority, as well as corporate tax and private wealth tax and non-tax issues. Most of his work is on income tax, tax aspects of M&A and on legal structures for high-net-worth individuals. He has broad experience in international tax planning, financial products, M&A, transfer pricing, VAT, tax litigation and estate planning.

Currently he is Director of the Postgraduate Program in Tax Direction and Administration of the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez School of Law and is a professor in the course of Income Tax Law in the same program (since 2009).  In addition, he is a professor in the courses of Tax Law I and Tax Law II at the Universidad Diego Portales School of Law (since 2014).

Prior to joining the law firm of Garnham Abogados, he was a tax partner at Noguera Larraín & Dulanto, in Santiago (2008-2013), tax specialist at the office of Baker & McKenzie in Santiago, becoming a tax partner (1995-2008) and tax attorney at Price Waterhouse (1992-1995).
