Career
Amanda joined the firm’s Iraq practice in 2016. Prior to joining the firm, Amanda worked at one of the leading law firms in Beirut and taught Energy Law to Master students at one of Beirut’s most reputable universities.
At the firm, Amanda is specialized in Corporate Law, Energy Law, Intellectual Property and Banking Law, and has published several articles on Energy Law, NGOs and Labor Law in Iraq. She advises numerous international and regional clients in matters ranging from the legal set-up of businesses and their daily operation, to the compliance of diverse transactions with applicable laws and regulations in both Federal Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Amanda is fluent in Arabic, English and Portuguese. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a concentration on Oil & Gas from Durham University Law School in the UK and currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Oil & Gas. Ms. Mezher is a member of the Beirut Bar Association.
