Career

Henry Lummertz, one of the founding partners of Souto Correa Advogados, has solid experience in tax law. His practice includes counseling and consultancy services, as well as client representation in administrative and judicial proceedings at the municipal, state, and federal levels. 

He is a member of the firm’s Startup Hub’s diverse expertise, supporting customers in all tax law matters pertaining to startups.

He has extensive expertise in advising companies on matters regarding Excise Tax (IPI), VAT (ICMS), Service Tax (ISSQN), import and export duties, social contributions, and tax benefits. Also significant is Henry’s specialist knowledge of customs control of imports and exports, handling administrative proceedings and lawsuits regarding the tax classification of goods, where his background in Engineering provides him with a unique tool to face technical discussions.

His major clients include leading Brazilian companies and multi-national corporations, most of which are in the technology, energy, infrastructure and petrochemical industries.
