Ms Paulette Lopes
Career
Founding partner of FBL, Paulette is the coordinator of the Corporate and M&A area of practice. Paulette holds a Law degree by the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, Portugal (1981). She is a teacher of the Faculty of Law of the Agostinho Neto University, where she teaches Litigation, and has been involved in drafting and reviewing several laws in Angola, such as the Family Code and, most recently, the Insolvency and Recuperation of Companies Code (not yet published). Before practicing law, Paulette has worked at the Angolan Ministry of Justice for several years, and is a former diplomat of the Angolan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Paulette is ranked as Band 1 or Tier 1 by the main legal directories. Paulette is an admitted attorney by the Angolan Bar Association.
