Career

Adrián advises international and domestic companies and leading financial institutions on the structuring and financing of their strategic business transactions in Mexico, including real estate and infrastructure projects, private equity investments, strategic asset acquisitions, debt restructurings and corporate reorganizations.

His practice covers the full range of corporate finance and is primarily focused on secured lending and asset financing, credit products, real estate financing, restructuring and workouts.

He has a particular focus on the Banking, Real Estate, Hospitality and Fintech sectors, where he frequently assists clients making sense of the risks and opportunities associated with new regulations. Some of the clients that Adrián has advised include leading international financial institutions and leading companies such as Bank of America, Bank of Montreal, Citibanamex, MREIT, BBVA Bancomer, Mercado Pago, SAAB, TYASA, Carval, Prudential, MetLife, CIBanco, Bancomext, Fonadin and Macquarie Bank Limited.

Adrian studied commercial law at the Universidad Panamericana (UP) and obtained a LL.M. in banking and financial law from Boston University in 2009. He has been a visiting professor of comparative law at UP, where he recently obtained a postgraduate degree on Fintech law.

With extensive international experience, Adrián joined the firm in 2012 where he was made partner in 2016.
