Career
Ricardo Pellerano joined Pellerano & Herrera in 1975, and became a partner in 1986. His practice is additionally focused on mergers and acquisitions, having advised local and foreign companies in various industries. He has also been actively involved in transactions related to investments and tourism industry developers in the country, with extensive experience in real estate matters. He has represented commercial and investment banks, insurance companies and financial institutions in financing, securitization, restructuring and project finance. For several consecutive years, Ricardo has been recognized as an outstanding lawyer in the market by prestigious compendiums and directories. In 1991, he received the award “Joven sobresaliente de la República Dominicana” (outstanding young professional of the Dominican Republic), awarded by Organización Mundial de Líderes Jaycees JCI ’72, Inc., while in 2010, he received the Award of Merit granted by the Navy of the Dominican Republic for his pro-bono work in reviewing and updating the Navy’s legal framework.
