Rebaza, Alcázar & De Las Casas takes on a large amount of work for individuals, defending them in white-collar crime investigations for money laundering, organised crime and fraud. Augusto Loli and Héctor Gadea oversee this area of the practice, aided by senior associates Sergio Mattos and newly hired Jefferson Moreno, as well as associate Flavio Puchuri. Leader of the litigation department Roger Zavaleta works on high-value domestic cases, such as a recent multimillion-dollar contentious-administrative action for a telecoms company against the Peruvian tax authorities, aided by Alberto Rebaza and senior associate Claudia Quispe. Having hired dual-qualified (Peru/New York) specialist Fabio Núñez del Prado as a senior associate from Clifford Chance‘s Washington practice in January 2021, the practice has also continued to build out its commercial and international arbitration capabilities. Rebaza, Alcázar & De Las Casas takes the lead on large and complex M&A transactions, both domestically and internationally. Firm co-founder and managing partner Alberto Rebaza co-heads the team in conjunction with Felipe Boisset; Rebaza handles M&A, commercial and financial transactions, corporate governance matters and crisis management situations, while Boisset is recommended for corporate and financial transactions, foreign investment, privatisations and concessions-related mandates. Also at partner level, Luis Miguel Elías is the name to note for project finance, infrastructure and mining transactions; Alexandra Orbezo handles venture capital work; and Daniel Gonzáles is experienced in international transactions, along with capital markets and bankruptcy-and-restructuring work. Transactional specialist Fiorella Atoche was promoted to the partnership in January 2022; and senior associate Rafael Lulli is active across the real estate, retail, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and utilities sectors. Former senior associate Maria Fernanda Gadea left for Clifford Chance in May 2021.
