Career

Octavio L. Hernández Negretti joined Sainz Abogados in 2011 and has been a partner since 2021. His practice focuses on financings and private equity, mainly representing private equity funds and financial institutions (domestic and foreign) in investments, divestitures and financings in Mexico and abroad. Octavio’s clients are involved in various industries, including manufacturing, asset management, restaurants, franchising and professional services.

In the area of mergers and acquisitions, Octavio advises clients on sophisticated M&A processes resulting from strategic acquisitions (purchase and sale of shares, assets or business units), as well as experience with respect to M&A processes resulting from shareholder conflicts or corporate restructurings and reorganizations. He also advises on corporate governance matters.

In financing matters, Octavio commonly represents financial institutions and debt funds, as lenders, as well as corporate debtors, in their lending operations and guarantee structures, including mezzanine structures, among other complex structures.
