Career
Patricia Barbosa is a partner of the Intellectual Property, TMT and Corporate practices at Vella Pugliese Buosi e Guidoni Advogados. With more than 10 years of experience, she concentrates her practice on intellectual property, TMT and Commercial Law. Patricia has a substantial expertise advising national and international companies and groups from different industries including telecommunications.
Her practice includes: regulatory work for technology, media and telecom industries; IT/Telecom agreements, including outsourcing and supply of hardware and turn-key solutions; preventive guidance on advertising and entertainment; M&A and other investment joint-venture transactions involving technology industry players; legal due diligences.
Patricia worked for several high profile clients during her career, such as AliBaba Group (China’s — and by some measures, the world’s — biggest online commerce company), Roku Inc. (American publicly traded company based in San Jose, California, that pioneered streaming for the TV), Fundação Estudar (a non-profit organization that for the last 30 years invests in the development of high-potential young people who will transform Brazil through work in various sectors) and Rovia, LLC. (a division of one of the most innovative travel companies in the world).
