GCA’s experience specifically includes dealing with (i) complex mergers and acquisitions, horizontal mergers, vertical integrations, joint ventures, associate agreements, and challenges to transactions before the Brazilian Antitrust Authority (“CADE”); (ii) administrative proceedings before CADE and/or lawsuits before the Judicial Courts in matters related to infringing conducts, such as cartel prosecution, refusal to sell, sham litigation, price discrimination, resale price imposition, predatory or abusive pricing or conducts; (iii) preventive assistance and advisory services; and (iv) preparing and implementing compliance programs within these matters. The firm is also frequently selected to represent clients present in challenging, niche, and/or innovative industries, including search engines, marketplaces, internet and telecom services providers, and technology, evidencing the team’s ability to work in those markets.

International trade and customs: GCA actively represents the domestic industry, importers, exporters, associations, and governments in antidumping, subsidies, and safeguard investigations, as well as tariff changes, including the List of Exceptions to the Common External Tariff – LETEC.
