Deanna Tanner OkunAMS Trade LLP

The distinguished ITC powerhouse changed its brand to AMS Trade LLP in January 2022, following the departure of founding partner Tom Schaumberg. The firm is renowned for its outstanding track record and exceptional ‘in-depth expertise’ in ITC investigations, hailed by some as ‘goto-law firm for Section 337 investigations’. The sizable Washington DC-based practice comprises some of the market’s most experienced names, including founding partner Louis Mastriani and managing partner Deanna Tanner Okun, who served two terms as chairman of the International Trade Commission. Regularly acting for plaintiffs and defendants and operating both as stand-alone counsel or in collaboration with other firms, the group represents clients from a wide variety of sectors, mainly technology, life sciences and consumer products. The practice is further strengthened by a ‘highly competent’ second line of experts composed of partners Lauren Peterson and Daniel Smith. Paul Bartkowski left in January 2021.
