Position

Iris V. Quadrio specialises in IP law, with extensive experience advising domestic and foreign clients, principally on trademark and trade dress issues, including IP rights clearance, registration and management of IP portfolios.

Career

Quadrio joined Marval O’Farrell Mairal in 1988 and has been a partner since 1998. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for the Estudio de los Dres. Goytía between 1982 and 1987 and for BankBoston during 1981 and 1982.

She is a qualified member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association and of the Argentine Association of IP Attorneys as well as of other IP groups including INTA, ASIPI (Interamerican Association of IP), AIPPI (Association pour la Protection de la Proprieté Industrielle), ITMA (Institute of Trademark Attorneys), IPO (Intellectual Property Owners), APRAM (Association des Practiciens du Droit des Marques et des Modéles) and PTMG (Pharmaceutical Trademarks Group). She was a member of the Board of Directors of the International Trademark Association (INTA) for the term 2006-2008.

Education

She graduated in 1987 from the Universidad Católica Argentina, where she also graduated as a Public Translator of English in 1981. She has also attended postgraduate courses on industrial and intellectual property at Harvard University and at the Universidad de Salamanca.
