Marval O’Farrell Mairal’s ‘very professional team’ finds favour for its lawyers’ focus on ‘resolving conflicts in the most efficient, economical and practical way possible’. The enviably well-rounded group touches on all key pillars of insurance law, with strong skill sets across a broad range of insurance classes, including niche areas such as aviation and marine. Litigation is a sweet spot and the team handles insurance and reinsurance claims, product liability cases and collective actions against insurance companies. On the regulatory front, it routinely advises on general compliance matters, the marketing of insurance products and administrative proceedings. The firm’s market-leading corporate department also marks it as a popular choice to assist with M&A and general corporate matters. Department head Pablo Cereijido handles a mix of regulatory, contentious and transactional work and is singled out by sources as ‘the best insurance and reinsurance lawyer in the country’. Elías Bestani, who has an emphasis on contentious work, is also highly regarded for his ‘experience and analytical capacity’. María Victoria Rodríguez Mamberti is a talented semi-senior associate.
