Position
Guido Krolovetzky is a partner at Beccar Varela. He co-leads the International Trade & Customs Department and is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Career
He joined Beccar Varela in 2008. His practice area includes Customs Law related to domestic, regional and international laws and regulations regarding the sale of goods, specifically focused on GATT, World Trade Organization (WTO) World Customs Organization (WCO), MERCOSUR and ALADI.
Guido has been working in Customs Law for more than 15 years. He has represented clients in all proceedings before the Customs Authorities, the National Tax Court, the Federal Administrative Courts and the Supreme Court of Justice, such as challenges to tax liquidations/assessments, recovery of unduly paid duties or dues, customs violations and tax executions, among others. Moreover, he permanently provides legal counseling related to the valuation of goods, regulations of origin and preferential customs fees, and in specific customs regimes such as temporary importations, import of capital assets and import of turnkey plants. He also assists international clients to follow-up and check the compliance of customs and international trade regulations.

Education
Guido obtained his Law degree from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (2001) and conducted postgraduate studies in Customs law at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (2006). Before joining Beccar Varela, he worked as in-house lawyer for MARUBA SCA (2001-2002), and integrated the Customs Law Department of Estudio O’Farrell as a senior lawyer (2002-2008).
He is the author of numerous articles and publications and has participated as speaker in various conferences on Customs Law. He is an active participant, in representation of the firm, of the International Academy of Customs Law.
