With approximately 20 years’ experience in advising mining companies on the creation and acquisition of mining properties, CMS Carey & Allende‘s compact, three-member mining practice also undertakes electricity supply contracts, permits, concessions, dispute resolution, and the operation and maintenance of mining projects; clients are additionally assisted with obtaining mining easements, while banks look to the team for advice on mineral exploitation projects. Further areas of relevant expertise include environmental regulations, water rights and other public law issues. Consistently advising on major mining projects throughout the last 25 years, Jorge Allende Z heads the mining group, while associate Manuel Ponce focuses on mining and water rights.
