The practice is also expert in establishing business structures, and it frequently assists foreign investors with establishing operations in Chile. It assists domestic, regional and international market players and financiers with a range of hydroelectric, wind and solar energy projects, as well as transmission lines, particularly on energy contracts, regulatory issues, project finance and dispute resolution. Energy project expert José Tomás Errázuriz (major energy projects and associated litigation) heads the department in conjunction with energy specialist Fernando Garrido, whose practice covers energy project development and finance, litigation, and the regulatory aspects of M&A transactions (including due diligence). Lead energy counsel Cristóbal Pellegrini has a similar practice skillset.
