Career

Marcos Coelho da Rocha is a partner of Veirano Advogados.  His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and other general corporate transactions (including domestic and cross-border investments and joint ventures) with a particular emphasis on banking, payments and financial technology.

Mr. Rocha holds a law degree from the Cândido Mendes School of Law (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – LL.B., 1993); Fundação Getúlio Vargas School of post-Graduate Studies in Corporate Law (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – 1996); and a LL.M degree from The University of Chicago Law School, (Chicago, U.S.A. – 1998). Mr. Rocha worked as a foreign associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in New York, U.S.A. (1999).

Mr. Rocha also lectures regularly on corporate and Fintech topics in Brazil and abroad.

Mr. Rocha is a native speaker of Portuguese, is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
