Craig Cordle is a Partner in Walkers’ Guernsey Investment Funds & Corporate Practice Group specialising in all aspects of the structuring, restructuring, merger, sale, establishment and operation of listed and private investment funds, including private equity funds, real estate funds, single asset vehicles/SPACs and other collective investment arrangements.

In addition, Craig advises on the merger and acquisition of private and listed companies, schemes of arrangement and regulatory and competition issues.

Craig is an asset management lawyer with 14 years’ experience in private practice, most of which was spent in the asset management, funds and capital markets teams of two leading international law firms in the City of London.

Since moving to Guernsey in 2016, and re-qualifying as a Guernsey Advocate, he continues to work with a number of vehicles listed on exchanges in London and across Europe, including The International Stock Exchange (TISE).

He has been consistently recognised for the quality of his advice by Chambers UK, Legal 500 and IFLR 1000.

Craig has worked in Guernsey since 2016, and has been admitted as a Guernsey Advocate since 2018.

Before moving offshore, he spent 11 years working in the City of London as an investment funds lawyer with Herbert Smith Freehills and Norton Rose Fulbright.

Craig joined Walkers’ Guernsey team in 2022.

Walkers‘ investment fund and corporate team grew in 2022, with the arrival of Craig Cordle from Ogier, adding an experienced hand in fund structuring and transactions. The group is jointly led by Kate Storey , whose practice spans investment fund structuring and finance, as well as equity raising and listings; and managing partner Matt Sanders , who often coordinates multijurisdictional fund deals involving the Channel Islands and London offices. Chris Hutley-Hurst has substantial experience in private equity fund and listed fund formation, as well as a variety of fund transactions. Senior counsel Jessica Robinson is a lawyer to watch for transactional issues.

Matt Sanders  is a seasoned M&A lawyer and jointly takes the lead alongside ‘brilliantKate Storey , who has a niche in M&A involving insurance companies. Chris Hutley-Hurst (‘clear and commercial in his advice‘) provides corporate tax advice, in addition to handling regulatory aspects of corporate and commercial activities. Recently promoted senior counsel Jessica Robinson has built a practice involving trust companies and in April 2022, Craig Cordle joined the group from Ogier.
