Position

John O’Driscoll is based in Walkers’ London office where he is a member of the Global Insolvency and Corporate Recovery Group. John specialises in contentious and non-contentious restructuring and insolvency matters. John advises on all forms of formal appointments of insolvency officeholders in the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands and Ireland and advises creditors, debtors, private equity and hedge funds and other stakeholders. He has worked on aspects of large international restructurings including MF Global, Lehman Brothers and Nortel and has significant experience in insolvency litigation having worked on multi-jurisdictional disputes. ​ Prior to his move to the London office John also worked in the firm’s Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands offices.

Career

Prior to joining Walkers, John spent six years at a big five law firm in Dublin followed by five years at international law firms in London.​

The promotion of Aki Corsoni-Husain to Harneys‘ global head of regulatory and tax, and his relocation to London in 2022, cemented the firms’ position as a dominant offshore firm in the UK.
