Daryl specialises in competition law and has particular expertise in economics and international trade. He advises on all aspects of competition law, including merger control, cartel and other prohibited practice investigations, exemption applications and competition law compliance. Daryl’s knowledge of competition laws extends to many African countries and regional regulators like the COMESA Competition Commission.

He has experience across a wide range of sectors including automotive, construction, fishing, freight, information technology, insurance, mining, pharmaceuticals, property, starch, steel, sugar, telecommunications and transport. He was also formerly a Senior Economist (Head of Case Analysis) at the South African Competition Commission.
