Rita is an expert in all aspects of mining and mineral law. She has substantial experience in structuring and negotiating commercial transactions, conducting due diligence investigations relating to mergers and acquisitions and compliance audits in respect of mining companies. Rita’s expertise extends to technically specialised drafting of various agreements necessary to conduct prospecting and mining operations including preparing applications for rights; infrastructure and logistics agreements; commodity supply and offtake agreements; and applications under mining and mineral law. She has advised both local and international clients on compliance in relation to mining and mineral law as well as black economic empowerment regulations in South Africa.
