Career

Gary Harris is a partner in Appleby Bermuda’s Corporate department where he advises clients on a wide range of complex corporate transactions. He primarily focuses on transactions within the insurance and banking industries including mergers and acquisitions, financings, and risk transfer transactions.

Gary was with the law firm for six years before moving in-house to a leading global composite reinsurance company where he was the Head of Legal and Compliance in Bermuda for three years. Gary re-joined Appleby in October 2022.

Memberships

Gary is a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple and the Bermuda Bar Association, and is a non-practicing member of both the Bar Council for England and Wales and the Jamaican Bar Association.

Education

Gary holds an LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Liverpool and obtained two Master’s degrees from the University of Cambridge and UCL in International Business Law.
