Peter Schorling is Managing Shareholder of Greenberg Traurig Germany and chairs the firm’s German Corporate Group, focusing his practice on M&A transactions. Peter advises on all aspects of M&A and corporate law, providing in-depth expertise in buy-side and sell-side transactions, private equity, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and capital markets. In particular, this includes various cross-border projects for international clients. Peter has wide-ranging experience advising clients in the real estate and media, technology & telecommunications sectors.

Based on his extensive experience, Peter is recognized by legal directories as a leading advisor. He is perceived as “a lawyer you can speak to very well about the commercial aspects” and as “very diplomatic but also very sharp” (Chambers and Partners 2018). He was awarded “Lawyer of the year 2018 and 2017, Private Equity” by Handelsblatt, and “Leading Partner in Real Estate Law” by JUVE in 2015 – 2020 and by Who is Who Legal 2016 – 2019/20.

Prior to joining the firm, Peter worked at Olswang in Germany as a partner and in the corporate group and the real estate group of Freshfields in Berlin and Munich as well as for Merrill Lynch, Global Principal Investments, in London.

Greenberg Traurig Germany is among the leading practices in real estate law and is experienced in pan-European transaction support including related financing thanks to the international network. The full service also covers project developments, asset management and restructuring pertaining to distressed properties and project developments, Henning Sieber is a key contact for the latter. Cross-practice capacities include supporting operator-run properties, such as co-working office spaces, student residencies, supported living accommodation, district developments as well as tenancy developments in interfacing tax, corporate and civil law matters. The team acts across all asset classes and places a focus on logistics and commercial properties.
