Career

Ernesto has 25+ years of experience successfully advising national and international clients in economic competition, international trade, mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. He has represented clients during antitrust investigations conducted by the Federal Commission for Economic Competition (COFECE), where he has led numerous mergers and acquisitions for the manufacturing, automobile, auto part, hospitality, chemical, mining, heavy manufacturing and financial services industries, among others.

Ernesto represents clients in international trade procedures, including advising them on alternatives for structuring commercial operations of foreign companies in Mexico, as well as with regards to different programs for the promotion of exports, such as the IMMEX program, the Special Fiscal Zone, among others.
