Anton has a broad corporate practice with particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, joint ventures and private equity. Anton has advised on some of the largest and most prominent BVI transactions of recent years, including the US$55 billion TNK-BP sale, the IPO of Lenta (creating the largest publicly-listed BVI company), the US$1.4 billion business combination of Burger King and Justice Holdings, Diageo’s acquisition of Zacapa, Premier Oil’s US$2.5 billion refinancing, the £237 million refinancing of Camden Market, the US$1.3 billion take private of UTi Worldwide and the take privates of OpenTV, MDM and Rio Verde.

Conyers Dill & Pearman's practice is highly rated for advising on offshore IPOs on all major exchanges as well as significant banking and finance deals. Robert Briant oversees the corporate and finance team; Briant provided BVI legal advice to J.P. Morgan Securities and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken in connection with the purchase and resale of high-value senior secured notes; and Anton Goldstein provided BVI law advice to Buenos Aires-headquartered online travel company Despegar on its successful IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. Other highlights include acting for Premier Oil, one of the UK’s largest independent oil and gas companies, on the successful restructuring of $3.8bn of debt facilities. Counsel Audrey Robertson has extensive experience in public offerings and multi-jurisdictional financing transactions, particularly involving commercial and private aircraft. Conyers Dill & Pearman's BVI corporate department head Robert Briant  focuses on M&A, joint ventures and investment vehicles; he also provides specialist advice to hedge funds and private equity funds. Briant led the BVI law advice to Major League Baseball (MLB) during a BVI company's acquisition of an MLB franchise, including assisting with issues such as the ability to transfer shares. Also highly rated is Anton Goldstein, who has particular expertise in M&A and private equity matters. Goldstein provided BVI legal advice to Vinci Airports on its acquisition of the airports management portfolio of Airports Worldwide, which includes Orlando Sanford Airport, Stockholm Skavsta Airport, Belfast International Airport and the Liberia and San Jose airports in Costa Rica. The team provided BVI legal advice to ACE & Company on the establishment of its private equity vehicles; it also provided BVI legal advice to Adler Kawa, a joint venture between Adler Group, Kawa Capital Partners and Ganot Capital that specialises in real estate investment, on the formation and final closing of its Fund III as well as on ongoing matters.
