Career

Sarah represents global companies in product liability claims across a range of sectors. She has extensive experience working on claims involving medical devices and automotive products in particular. Sarah acts in cases in England as well as helping clients by bringing her experience to bear in claims across Europe, often working with other specialist lawyers in multiple jurisdictions.

In addition to product liability litigation, Sarah has considerable experience in commercial litigation. She has acted in a range of contract disputes for a variety of clients in engineering, automotive, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Sarah has an extensive working knowledge of group and class actions in the UK dating back to working on English group actions in the 1990s. She draws on this experience to advise on class action issues throughout Europe─an increasingly important area of the risk management for Shook’s global clients.

In 2020 Sarah gained her CIPP/E certification from the International Association of Privacy Practitioners in response to the growing importance of data privacy issues for clients and in relation to client products as well as in the class action sphere.
