Raphael advises clients on foreign exchange, payment method, fintech and banking regulation matters, as well as on structured finance transactions, including project & acquisition finance and syndicated loans, with 10 years of experience at the firm.

Raphael has participated in most of the applications filed by credit fintechs with the Central Bank of Brazil to be authorized to operate as direct credit companies (SCDs) and peer-to-peer lending companies (SEPs), new types of financial institutions created in 2018. He is one of the main market names for regulatory counseling on foreign exchange, working with financial institutions and fintechs that operate in this ecosystem. He is also praised for his practice in new initiatives of the sector, and has participated in the implementation of open banking, instant payments (PIX) and review of the new legal foreign exchange framework, besides having closely collaborated with the regulator in defining the credit fintech regulation.
