Roberto Vidal is a partner in the Corporate Law Department of the firm, and specializes in banking law, project finance, capital markets and regulatory matters.  He has participated and led transactions from several industries such as insurance, ports, construction, energy, real estate, banking, securities, restaurants, hotels, retail, among others. 

Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Mr. Vidal acquired his experience as an International Associate at White & Case, LLP, Miami, Florida, U.S.A., where he worked in the Corporate Law Department reviewing mergers and acquisitions, finance, securities, among others. 

With over 10 years of experience, a specific interest in regulatory advisory work, joint ventures and M&A transactions, Mr. Vidal has gained local and international recognition as a prominent corporate lawyer in Panama. He also handles transactions involving financial restructurings, mainly in the banking and financial industry. His clients (domestic and international) have included Farallon Nicaragua, Marsh Semusa, Banco Davivienda, Grupo Mercantil, Vector Global WMG, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), The International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), General Electric (GE), Corporacion Interamericana para el Financiamiento de Infraestructura (CIFI), Holistics Brokerage, Lombard Odier, Cirsa Gaming & Services de Panama, AON Benfied Mexico Intermediario de Reaseguro, Empresas Vicsons, Grupo Codere, Goldman Sachs, Capital Bank, Marsh & McLennn Companies, Bollore Logistics, Morgan Stanley, among others.

His experience extends to all corporate and regulatory aspects related to the operation and development of infrastructure projects. Mr. Vidal is the main advisor to Panama Ports Company (member of Hutchinson Ports Holding), currently developing and operating the Port of Balboa and the Port of Cristobal on the Pacific and Atlantic coasts of the Republic of Panama.

Mr. Vidal also collaborates with legal publications, and he is active in associations of law firms dealing in this sector. He is one of the lawyers responsible for the firm for managing the relationship with World Services Group, a worldwide organization of more than 130 firms worldwide.
