Rodrigo Ernesto Arias Valderrama holds a degree in Law and Political Science, and nearly 30 years of experience. He began his professional practice as associate attorney of Morgan & Morgan in 1987, and laterbecame a partner of the group in 1996.
Mr. Arias Valderrama is part of Morgan & Morgan’s team of lawyers specialized in civil and commercial matters, contract and non-contract civil liability, litigation and dispute resolution in regular and arbitration venues.
He advises clients interested in the collection of debts from natural or legal persons, seeking to collect damages that may have been caused as a result of defaulting legal or contractual obligations and/or illegal and non-contractual facts, actions and omissions involving fraud or some level of negligence or fault.
Mr. Arias Valderrama has become a leading practitioner in the Republic of Panama, particularly in civil and commercial litigation fields and application of precautionary measures of all sorts, effectively representing the interest of clients of Morgan & Morgan seeking this type of service.
Mr. Arias Valderrama graduated from Universidad Catolica Santa Maria La Antigua, in the Republic of Panama (1987); and made postgraduate studies in Procedural Law at Universidad de Salamanca, Spain (2001). He also made postgraduate studies in Mediation at Universidad de Panama (2002).
Among his clients there are renowned banking entities, private companies, and multinational corporations operating in Panama.
Mr. Arias is the author of “Civil Liability from Crime under the New Penal Code (1982)”.
He is a member of the Bar Association of Panama, and the Instituto Antioqueño de Responsabilidad Civil.
