Maria Teresa Mendoza is a Partner at Morgan & Morgan and co-heads the Labor Law practice group of the firm. Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Ms. Mendoza was a Partner at a consulting regional firm specializing in corporate labor counsel and related affairs.
Over the last 20 years, Ms. Mendoza’s practice specializes in advising clients local and multinational corporations on all labor and employment matters, including drafting and reviewing employment contracts, employee handbooks, corporate restructurings, termination agreements, social security, labor due diligence, among others.
Her client portfolio includes clients from several sectors such as energy, insurance, banking, automotive, real estate, construction, education, logistics, media and communications, mining, engineering and manufacturing, agribusiness, hospitality, headhunting, among others.
She is a member of the Employment Law Alliance (ELA) and regularly participates as speaker at seminars and conferences related to labor law and regulations. Ms. Mendoza is also member of the Panamanian National Minimum Wage Commission, on behalf of the National Private Business Council (CONEP).

She is also involved in the pro bono activities of the firm advising various NGOs on their legal issues.

She also regularly participates as speaker at labor law seminars.
