Line Abecassis is a partner in the Commercial Real Estate Group of BLG’s Montréal office and the trusted adviser to a broad array of real estate companies. She practises in most areas of real property law, including leasing, acquisition, divestiture, and financing of real estate and development. She participated in the development of various real estate projects, such as hotels, senior housing residences, shopping centres, and office buildings. Line represented a large Canadian bank in the acquisition and financing of undivided co-ownership interest in numerous shopping centres in Québec and Ontario. She acted in the purchase of several large portfolios including recently in the purchase of 75 properties in Canada and the US with a value of over $1.5 billion.
