Career
Laurie is Global Co-Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. She represents real estate private equity funds, companies, REITs, investors, family offices and other property owners in structuring and closing real estate transactions such as acquisitions, dispositions, developments, financings, portfolio transactions, preferred equity investments, leasing and real estate joint ventures. Her work touches all asset classes, including office, multifamily, mixed-use, affordable housing, hospitality, life sciences, retail and condominium. Laurie also has an active capital markets and fund practice, representing investors in joint venture transactions and sophisticated fund and tax structuring. Additionally, Laurie works on corporate real estate acquisitions of private and public real estate companies.
As an accomplished deal maker, Laurie guides her clients in some the highest profile real estate transactions in the country, becoming a trusted member of their businesses. She is on the Advisory Board and leads the firm’s partnership with Project Destined—an organization that trains and finds job opportunities for diverse candidates in real estate. She also co-founded Rebuilding New York’s “She Builds” program with real estate female executives. As a frequent speaker, she’s sought after by industry publications for her professional insights. Also, given her contributions to the industry, Commercial Observer named her to their exclusive Power 100 List and Real Estate Forum inducted her into their extremely exclusive “Women of Influence Hall of Fame.”

It is also highly knowledgeable on foreclosure on defaulted mortgage and mezzanine loans, deeds in lieu of foreclosure and the sale of REO properties.
