The practice is historically particularly strong in the construction sector, managing high-profile cases such as a dispute dealing with the expansion of the Panama Canal and a $5bn dispute for client Inpex that arose out of the construction of an onshore LNG processing facility in Australia. It is also involved in major other LNG, hydropower and nuclear facility construction disputes. The firm also takes on large energy-related cases, including oil and gas price review disputes, and a wide range of matters from other sectors, for example the telecoms sector. Michael Polkinghorne is in charge.
