MHR & Partners in association with White & Case LLP advises domestic companies on overseas investments and multinational corporates in their endeavours on the Egyptian market. Financial institutions, government-related enterprises, and government bodies are also part of the firm’s client roster. The department handles matters under English, Egytpian and US law and can leverage a global network for complex cross-border matters. Philip Stopford, Ziad Gadalla, Tarek Mohanna and Sherief Rashed jointly lead the practice and are involved in project finance and Islamic finance, amongst others.

The team is ‘exceptional in its client engagement and advocacy’ and has strengths in areas such as offshore gas fields, petrochemicals, and renewable energy, where it particularly excels in cross-border matters. The practice is led by a team of five partners consisting of Philip Stopford, Ziad Gadalla, Tarek Mohanna, Sherief Rashed and Bryan Cory; the latter joined the Cairo office from White & Case’s Houston location in June 2021.
