Prof Albert Mumma & Company Advocates is a niche practice based in Nairobi with an excellent reputation for its legal practice and within consultancy circles for its high quality work, integrity, teamwork and responsiveness to clients’ needs.
Founded by Prof Albert Mumma in 1995 the law firm has a team of professional staff comprising eight advocates, and several support staff and trainees. The firm’s professional team has excellent academic credentials and a good rapport with a broad range of clients within the public sector, civil society and in the business community. Additionally, the firm has established relations with law firms in Europe, the United States, East Africa and South Africa with whom we have collaborated in various transactions over several years.
Significantly, the firm has been at the forefront of some of the landmark legal reforms which have been undertaken in Kenya in the last two decades, and which have transformed the way in which the government, state corporations and the private sector implement their mandate and organize their structures in order to achieve their objectives.
In addition to our wealth of experience the firm routinely works in association with specialists drawn from renowned International law firms to secure maximum benefits to our clients in various transactions. The firm occasionally associates with international firms to augment our capacity in handling high profile complex transactions.
The firm has spacious law offices strategically located in the Community/Upper Hill area, Nairobi’s upcoming commercial centre. The firm’s professional team is supported by a strong contingent of administrative and secretarial staff.
In recent years the firm has consistently been recognised and highly ranked by The Legal 500 for its excellent practice in privatisation and projects, public procurement law, public private partnership (PPP) law and dispute resolution.
