Mark is a Legal Director in the Company Commercial group at Eversheds' London office. Mark has a broad range of corporate experience, having acted on M&A (private and public), private equity, listed company and joint venture transactions, focusing specifically on IPOs, secondary fundraisings and public takeovers.

Mark's recent experience includes advising a Guernsey REIT on its IPO on AIM and a number of subsequent fundraisings and M&A transactions, advising  the company on one of the largest IPOs on AIM of 2011 and acting for the acquirer on two hostile takeover bids for Main Market- and AIM -traded targets, as well as providing English law strategic and structuring advice to a US client on a $5 billion private acquisition.

Mark advises clients across a number of sectors, focusing, in particular, on the industrial, healthcare and mining sectors.

Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP's team has an excellent reputation acting for both issuers and NOMADs, and it is prominent in large, high-profile AIM and Main Market IPOs, secondary offerings and various other transactions. In 2017, Daniel Hall, Nicola Brookes and senior associate Annika Unsworth acted for Footasylum Plc in its £170m AIM flotation and £40m placing. They also assisted Zeus Capital (as NOMAD and broker) with the £190m AIM IPO of Strix Group Plc. Sebastian Orton and Chris Halliday more recently acted as the lead advisers to OnTheMarket Plc on its proposed £100m AIM IPO. Beyond IPO work, another highlight saw practice head Stephen Nash and legal director Mark Roe advise Investec on a secondary fundraising associated with Conviviality Plc's acquisition of the Central Convenience retail business. The firm also acts for UK investment trusts and Channel Islands-based registered investment companies. Other members of the team include Simon Masters, Alistair Cree, Steven Hacking and Alison Starr.

Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
