Mark Brunton - Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP

Within: Rail

Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP's cross-practice rail group is focused on concessions, rolling stock and infrastructure work, where it handles major transactions and complex projects. The team is increasingly utilising its global footprint to advise on a raft of cross-border rail sector mandates. Mark Brunton specialises in rail sector commercial contracts and Agnes Koko handles UK and international rail infrastructure projects. Birmingham-based Anne Harris advised the Department for Transport on the termination of the Inter City East Coast franchise, operated by franchisee Virgin Trains East Coast, and the transfer of responsibility for delivery of the passenger services to government-controlled operator of last resort, London North Eastern Railway. Elsewhere, the firm's parliamentary and infrastructure consenting team advises on the promotion and implementation of public transport projects.
