Corrine is an associate in our human resources practice group in Manchester. She qualified as a solicitor in August 2012 and joined Eversheds in May 2015.

She is a member of our education employment and student issues teams and works exclusively with clients in the further and higher education sectors, schools, academies and private education providers.

Corrine advises clients on a broad range of employment matters, both contentious and non-contentious. She advises in respect of day-to-day employment related issues such as grievances, disciplinaries and capability issues, TUPE issues and contractual documentation, policies and procedures and protected conversations and negotiating and drafting settlement agreements.

Corrine also advises in respect of matters in the employment tribunal and employment appeal tribunal, and has significant experience in assisting clients successfully defend claims in the employment tribunal, including claims for unfair and constructive dismissal, discrimination, protected disclosures and breaches of contract.

Corrine advises education sector clients on contentious and non-contentious student issues.

The large education team advises HEs, FEs, schools, academies and private education institutions. Key clients include the University of Bradford, Trafford College, Liverpool John Moores University and the Universities and Colleges Employers Associate (UCEA). The team is advising two further education colleges on their proposed ‘model B’ merger. The advice includes conducting a full due diligence exercise on behalf of the continuing college and advising both the continuing college and the dissolving colleges on a range of merger-related issues.
