David is a partner and member of the Institution of Taxation. David has considerable experience of a broad range of corporate and real estate transactions.
David in particular advises clients on tax efficient structures for their commercial operations, including tax efficient joint ventures, acquisitions, disposals and internal reorganisations. He specialises in the tax structuring of real estate investment and financing, including cross-border investments. This includes establishing collective investment vehicles and real estate funds, including limited partnerships, LLPs, property companies and other property vehicles.
David advises extensively on major development projects and infrastructure schemes, including joint ventures and collaboration agreements.
David is also a member of our energy sector group, and advises on the tax implications of projects in the energy sector.

Team head David Jervis is a key name for renewable energy projects and international matters; his recent work includes advising Pension Infrastructure Platform on the tax aspects of its acquisition of multiple solar farms from Trina Solar, assisting Medical Research Council with the tax elements of its joint venture with its charity partners Alzheimerâs Society and Alzheimerâs Research UK to form the UK Dementia Research Institute, and providing tax support to Capita on its sale of its asset services division to Link Group. The team also advised SPX Flow on its restructuring and handled H2 Equity Partnersâ investment in BA Components.
